Looks
like Oscar De La Hoya, The MGM Grand & HBO will have
to share a bit of the spotlight during Cinco De Mayo
weekend with ESPN, Caesars Palace and the stars of
The Contender.
Boxing2006/Pound4Pound.com has learned that Sergio
Mora will be taking on a top middleweight contender
and everyone's favorite, Alfonso Gomez will be
facing the man he was supposed to face last month in
Rhode Island, Gilbert Venegas, before Gomez fell ill
to the flu.
The Contender show will
be held at Caesars Palace on May 4th, two days
before the De La Hoya/Mayorga clash set for May 6
at The MGM.
